This song always reminds me of an ex-girlfriend I broke up with about 14 years ago. Beautiful lyrics and sung with such emotion. Doesn't get ant better than this.

About the meaning I would say it's about a guy who made a mistake with his girlfriend so she broke up with him and he is asking for her forgiveness. Very emotional and beautiful.
