I think this is one of the best lyrically driven songs of hers. The words are absolutly beautiful.

I agree that this song is just beautiful. It makes me feel so sad and lonely. I think it's about needing to have somebody when you're older. It's no longer about fun love, but a companion.

My favorite song by jewel. In fact, my favorite song ever.

Anyway, here's my full analysis:

I think this part is about Jewel herself getting up on stage in front of all the men back in Alaska. Everybody is immediately entranced by her voice and feel a longing for an angel of their own.

Things are getting serious at this time in your life, and it's time to find somebody to love, something real.

Easily my favorite part of the song, especially the music that follows it. Here Jewel is speaking out about the person she loves and how he is her home.

The song name Last Dance Rodeo has to do with the idea that this is the last dance of the evening, it's your last chance to ask that special someone for a dance.
