Of course this songs meaning is clear in reference to highlander, but it also contains something of an ode to the power of musicians, or particularly to queen as an important influnce on the lives of those who listen to their music. read the lyrics again after this commentary, and you'll see it has more to do with a rock stars quest for dominance than goofy (though awesome) immortals.

This song is great! I listened to it before every exam at uni - and now I listen to it before job interviews - or any other time I need a confidence boost. Its all about being better than everybody else, and being a winner (so great to sing to if you need to build your confidence up).

This is by far one of the powerful songs every sung, and its sung by a genius!

Simply an awesome song, means pretty much what it sounds like, which unfortunately means it loses a good bit of literal meaning taken outside the context of the movie Highlander...doesn't make it any less incredible though

I was getting into highlander and i heard the song in the theme song and i was like 'hey, this sounds like queen. that rules!' i've liked highlander alot more ever since!

This is my all time favorite song by Queen. And the solo near the end and then Freddie yells "Bring on the girls." I love it.
