Holy crap I can't believe there aren't more comments on this one.. This song is so genius. Listen closely to it's composition, the brass instruments and the wide array of other instruments in the background. What an arrangement. I can just picture the studio full of like 50 people with different instruments and Brian Wilson obsessively working out their parts :P
I'm getting mad about that song, playin it about three times a day, and listening to Pet SOunds three times a week too, almost only to hear that song! I agree with you so much DCBA25 that this piece of music is truly great! And the lyrics depict the beginning of new relationships, especially teenage loves, so directly and brilliantly... the gorgeous arragements, like on the entire album, add really to the overall dramatically passionate atmosphere of the song

this song brings back days and loves gone by. There are girls in my past that I still think of today and how bad it hurt when they left. Everly time I hear the Beach Boys it takes me back to the early 70's when life was good.
