Right As Rain Part 2 Lyrics
I"m mortified,
I'm mortally antagonized
The door is locked
The shades are down the lights are off
My movements are minimal
My sounds are inaudible
I'm dull and void, these razor thoughts are paranoid
I"m a footnote in your sentence
I'm a last name in an index
Scavenger savior, don't forget, to never remember, you haven't laughed, in such a long time
My toungue is tied
so tight it's left me petrified
I stay up late
stumble home at a pathetic pace
It is a time thief
It sings in late sleeps swollen screams are salivating apathy
Bottle klinking belmont neon
A city sea of sinking freedom
It's right as rain
one salty kiss
Stays forever in your fingertips
I'm mortally antagonized
The door is locked
The shades are down the lights are off
My movements are minimal
My sounds are inaudible
I"m a footnote in your sentence
I'm a last name in an index
so tight it's left me petrified
I stay up late
stumble home at a pathetic pace
It is a time thief
It sings in late sleeps swollen screams are salivating apathy
Bottle klinking belmont neon
A city sea of sinking freedom
one salty kiss
Stays forever in your fingertips

this song rocks. like lawrence arms. represent for chicago.
this song doesn't seem like it has as much energy as a lot of their other songs, but i really like it anyway. the lyrics fit really well with the song, and how awesome "i'm a footnote in your sentence"? these guys rock in concert, check them out if you can.
Whoah..."swollen screams are salviating apathy" That is so poetic...it's almost like a poem than a song.
The first song I ever heard from them... a typical, mellow chris-song. The imaginery and poetry in this song beats most of the other songs on this album...
A very good song, especially since it continues from where "The corpes of our emotions" leaves off.
(The guys wants his gf/lover to leave since he's really a loser and she could do a lot better than him, and they both know it. So now with this song, she's gone and what does he have left?)
