Levitate Lyrics
Feel Heavy
Once Felt it... Hard
Question an answer
For a thousand days
Give birth to the Earth
Then let it drift away
Open and flow
Just swinging forever
Making love to the ground
Because it just feels better
It ain't easy
Drink it in
Think a while... Spit
There's both shining and darkness
Yet they share a day
Was there a man on a cross
Or was it just a fake
Even in shame
You can't hide your growth
Though the butterfly flies
He's sinking like a stone
The killing sun
It hurts my eyes
And comes hard
Onto my skin
And as I find shade
From tree to tree
I live to learn
To dig down deep
I feel the pain
And love the hurt
I don't complain
Trancing in the grass
Suck it off the world
When you're full of itv Shrug, feel fortunate
Then go where levitation lives
Where agrivation grows
Where sleeping's too hard
On the thinking bone
Intensity is what I need
To suffer for the pleasure
Its heat, hard, life and death
Living all together
In a small room
Full of me and my friends
Trying to find the means
To justify the end
Once Felt it... Hard
For a thousand days
Give birth to the Earth
Then let it drift away
Open and flow
Just swinging forever
Making love to the ground
Because it just feels better
Drink it in
Think a while... Spit
Yet they share a day
Was there a man on a cross
Or was it just a fake
Even in shame
You can't hide your growth
Though the butterfly flies
He's sinking like a stone
The killing sun
It hurts my eyes
And comes hard
Onto my skin
And as I find shade
From tree to tree
I live to learn
To dig down deep
I feel the pain
And love the hurt
I don't complain
Suck it off the world
When you're full of itv Shrug, feel fortunate

i simply can't believe that nobody has commented on this song! its one of the best IME songs out there, better than ANY of their new shit, cuz thats what they are without edwin, and whether he wrote the lyrics or not, he still made the band and the band made him cuz now that they separated they both suck! its too bad cuz they were a really good band
Yes, this is a really good song but you cant compare Edwin to Brian they're two completely different singers in two completely different bands they just kept the "I Mother Earth" name. Edwin did not make this band, Christian and Jag Tanna did ,they wrote all the lyrics and music. THe new IME is just as good as the old and Edwin was a pompous asshole who wanted to control the band and come out with that acoustic pop shit hes got now "right here" or whatever that gay shit is. I Mother Earth was good with both singers, but Edwin is not this band AT ALL. What a fucking insult to the hard work of the Tanna brothers you should be shamed dylmeister if you are in fact an IME fan.
+1 on that. I like Edwin and I like Brian too, in different ways. Brian has a more nuanced style that goes well with the newer material, and Edwin haha... Edwin was the king of Balls! But actually (as long as the singer is really good), I consider Bruce Gordon's ASS-KICKING bass to be more important to the IME sound than any particular singer.
That said, yes, the core of IME will always be Jag's FRIKKIN AMAZING guitar skillz and Christian's STAGGERINGLY BEAUTIFUL lyrics.
If they ever make that 5th album Bruce Gordon should get his bass solo
