Elizabeth My Dear Lyrics
Tear me apart and boil my bones
I'll not rest till she's lost her throne
My aim is true
My message is clear
It's curtains for you
Elizabeth my dear
I'll not rest till she's lost her throne
My aim is true
My message is clear
It's curtains for you
Elizabeth my dear

Scarborough Fair is an old English folk song - thye guy who taught it to Paul Simon is still pissed off about it - no thanks, money etc
The world needs more anti monarchy songs.
Definitely about an assassination of our, er... beloved, Liz Windsor
This is about blowing Queen Elizabeth's head off and not caring about the consequences
This is a nice repost to the similarly throw-away little song "Her Majesty" on the Beatles "Abbey Road". That was also about Queen Elizabeth 2 but Ian Brown expresses a very different and much more appropriate sentiment than Paul McCartney did then.
Its about assassination. You can hear a silencer gunshot at the very end.
For all Ian Brown , stone roses fans, a facebook group has been started in remembrance of this song, to see the end of the British monarchy, it is called 'down with the British monarchy- the three twelve movement'.
It's not about assassination. It's about Buckingham Palace being redecorated.
The bloke couldn't establish how big the windows were because HRH was sat on her throne in front of the window and he didn't want to say "OI Shift" so he had to stand there all day till she finished doing Queening. Hence the line *I'll not rest till she's lost her throne".
A little known fact is that the old curtains and Bucky Palace weren't the right size and this always Irritated HRH. So she told the decorator to make sure he measured accurately.
He was slightly insulted by this but what can you do? It's the Queen afterall. So he said "Don't you worry. I always measure accurately. My aim is true." Then when they sent the new curtains, he put a note in with them so she knew they were those that he measured. It said "I hope my message is clear. It's curtains for you, Elizabeth my dear"
I know this to be a fact because a bloke down the pub told me.
This song also starts out to the tune of Scarborough Fair by Simon & Garfunkel.
