Arc Of Space Lyrics
There, on a lonely desert hilltop
The pilgrims huddle closer
Waiting for a sign, the coming silver shrine
The arc of space and time
Truth, oh, the truth is never clear
Perhaps again next year
The hope lives on beneath the blazing sun
One day you'll come
In my heart I reach you
In my heart I reach out to you
In my heart I touch the face of god
In my dreams somehow...
In my heart I reach you
In my heart I reach out to you
In my heart I touch the face of god
It's all a dream...
In my heart I reach you
In my heart I reach out to you
In my heart I touch the face of god
It's all a dream, somehow...
Truth, oh, the truth is never clear
Perhaps again next year
The hope lives on beneath the blazing sun
One day you'll come
The pilgrims huddle closer
Waiting for a sign, the coming silver shrine
The arc of space and time
Perhaps again next year
The hope lives on beneath the blazing sun
One day you'll come
In my heart I reach out to you
In my heart I touch the face of god
In my dreams somehow...
In my heart I reach out to you
In my heart I touch the face of god
It's all a dream...
In my heart I reach out to you
In my heart I touch the face of god
It's all a dream, somehow...
Perhaps again next year
The hope lives on beneath the blazing sun
One day you'll come

Quote (from Accident of Birth solo collection sleeve): A loose concept united Tltec 7 Arrival, Star Children, Omega and Arc of Space. "They're all about an apocalyptic future," [Dickinson] revealed. "Omega is about the end of the world and Arc of Space is concerns those who look at aliens almost as a religion; wish fulfilment on a grand scale. I wrote Star Children about the first contact with an alien, but the alien is Death. Take his hand and you die."
to detective who said that the guitar picking was sped up, I dont think so bro, the guitarists on this album were Adrian Smith and Roy Z. Roy Z is if you recall also a guitarist in the Latin-rock band Tribe of Gypsies, he can play like a mofo. That acoustic solo he lays down in the middle of this song is all Roy Z demonstrating his skills - and its emotional, melancholic melody makes the song the powerful track it is (also thanks to Bruce's great vocal delivery ).
Does this remind anyone else of the Ender series?
I agree with you all-american girl. The Ender series is written by Orson Scott Card who Bruce has said is one of his favorite authors. I am going to look more into it. But this album could very well be on those books too.
Great song :)
agreed, im sure that guitar picking was sped up.
