"it won't hit with those that aren't educated in underground politics" oh please. stop rationalizing your failure with conspiracy theories and get an education in something applicable to the real world. all you fuckers do is bitch bitch bitch: "why don't i have money? why does he need 3 houses? a million dollar bonus?" you see, we live in a capitalist society---that's secret-society for "you get what you earn." you can't sit around smoking pot in a basement all day, bouncing conspiracy theories off of your moron friends, and expect to get shit in return. there's nothing underground about it; america is a nation of capitalists. your response would be, "i know, down with capitalism!" well what would you have in its stead? communism? if yes, then go to north korea and write me when you get there---oh wait, they don't allow civilian mail to leave the country. you scream socialism---we have welfare, we have medicaid, we have free schooling, we have nationalized a large portion of the nations industry, we are socialist in that we keep our poor above the subsistence level; if you had any concept of history, you would understand how big of a fucking deal that is; check out the poor people in england in the 19th century: their fucking kids were pulling 16 hour days in mines, and they were still starving to death; and school... ha! they would have killed to go to school, and here we are today, free schooling for every child in the nation, and you people are like, "learning, ha, that shit's boring." But then, when a man, who has spent 18 years of his life working like a dog, makes some money, he's an evil, greedy bastard. no. that's capitalism: if you earn it, it's yours; not if you earn it, you have to share it with other people because they were too lazy or too incompetent to earn it themselves. further, its a capitalist world. there is no secret system established to keep your dumbass from moving up the ladder. learn something in school; go to college---if you don't have the money, there is a whole fucking system that will help you get the money, if you're smart enough, you'll get it for free; find a profession, work hard in your profession, and you'll have money, cars, and other nice things. And if none of that sounds like it fits with your lifestyle, that's okay, i don't think it's the path i'll take either, but for god's sake don't go around bitching about how it isn't fair. that's the way the entire world works. that's the way nature works; fuck, nature is the purest form of capitalism---survival of the fittest---and if humanity had always been as helpless as you, we'd still be in that predicament. so you can either participate in the system, "the machine", capitalism, or whatever you want to call it, or you can sit around and bitch about the system because its easier than participating, but know that the power is in your fucking hands---you aren't the helpless victim of "underground politics."
now i'm not saying the system isn't corrupt. it most certainly is! billionaire's cheating on taxes and shit, kids who inherit daddy's fortune without doing anything for it, but that's the way it is. if you can come up with a better system---lets be serious---you can't. anyway, there are people who are corrupt, but you act like they are pitted against you, joe bob from cleveland whose hobbies are masturbating and drinking beer. let me tell you something, YOU are so far under their radar, they don't even know who the fuck you are to tell you to suck their dicks while they're pissing, they don't even listen to your shit to know who the fuck they're dissing." that is to say, the successful people aren't worried about keeping you down; you do it for them. fred douglass wrote "it is the wish of most masters within my knowledge to keep their slaves thus ignorant." by keeping knowledge from slaves, the owners were able to keep them powerless---knowledge is dangerous. unlike the slaves, you have free access to as much knowledge as you can get your grubby fucking hands on, but do you take advantage of it? fuck no, i don't wanna reads no book! well that's the key, whether you like it or not, so get in, or be content with not having very much (and still living a comparatively leisurely lifestyle). NOW, WITH RESPECT TO THE SONG: as you might have guessed, i think the subject matter is fucking retarded, and i really hate zack de la rocha as a person, but by god, his stylistic skill is unbelievable. certainly in the top ten of the greatest rappers of all time. i don't listen to his words; i listen to the rhythms he creates and the sounds he puts together. and the style is all his; he doesn't sound like anyone else. so kudos for that; i just wish he would shut up about this "toxic rock" horseshit.
