I hate to say this cliché, but it seems to be about drugs or some other kind of self-abusive behavior.
This amazing song is a paean to the delicious pleasures of an excessive lifestyle. And how, inevitably, some people in your life won't get the appeal.
And for some reason, this is about the only one of their big hits that the brothers Reid never seem to play live anymore.

I cannot begin to tell you the number of times I felt the need to play this song at insane volume levels for someone. I doubt it's a song about a boy and his issues with his parent(s): but, it could be.
I think the title is pretty obvious about what it's about.
