Center of Gravity Lyrics
In crowded bars, at subway cars
Whenever you are next to me,
center of gravity,
can't feel both feet on the ground
Walking home after dark, past the softball park
It's clear to me, according to a rule I learned one day in school
Basic geometry: two halves of a circle, you and me
It's a familial song we've known so long
Your clever cuts into me
as long as you're next to me
I can't feel both feet on the ground
center of gravity,
can't feel both feet on the ground
Basic geometry: two halves of a circle, you and me
as long as you're next to me
I can't feel both feet on the ground

this song is the(e) ultimate cutesy, makes-you-smile-even-when-you're-home-alone love song. "Basic geometry: two halves of a circle, you and me", indeed-y!
a playful latin tune by yo la. it really makes you think about the good times of a relationship.
Sigh :)
This one of my favorite songs of all time. I'm trying to convince my band mates to play this song at an upcoming acoustic set at a friend's café.
"Your clever cuts into me." I love it.
I love this song. I remember the first time I heard the album, this bossa nova number really stood out to me, and actually got me interested in listening to old bossa nova music. The lyrics are sweet and simple, about the elation of being in love.
