Jesus Is Just Alright Lyrics
Doo do do do do do do do
Doo do do do do do do do
Doo do do do do do do do
Doo do do do do do...
Jesus is just alright with me,
Jesus is just alright, oh yeah
Jesus is just alright with me,
Jesus is just alright
I don't care what they may say
I don't care what they may do
I don't care what they may say
Jesus is just alright, oh yeah
Jesus is just alright
Jesus is just alright with me,
Jesus is just alright, oh yeah
Jesus is just alright with me,
Jesus is just alright
I don't care what they may know
I don't care where they may go
I don't care what they may know
Jesus is just alright, oh yeah
Jesus, he's my friend;
Jesus, he's my friend
He took me by the hand;
Led me far from this land
Jesus, he's my friend
Jesus is just alright with me,
Jesus is just alright, oh yeah
Jesus is just alright with me,
Jesus is just alright
I don't care what they may say,
I don't care what they may do
I don't care what they may say,
Jesus is just alright, oh yeah
Doo do do do do do do do
Doo do do do do do do do
Doo do do do do do...
Jesus is just alright, oh yeah
Jesus is just alright with me,
Jesus is just alright
I don't care what they may do
I don't care what they may say
Jesus is just alright, oh yeah
Jesus is just alright
Jesus is just alright, oh yeah
Jesus is just alright with me,
Jesus is just alright
I don't care where they may go
I don't care what they may know
Jesus is just alright, oh yeah
Jesus, he's my friend
He took me by the hand;
Led me far from this land
Jesus, he's my friend
Jesus is just alright, oh yeah
Jesus is just alright with me,
Jesus is just alright
I don't care what they may do
I don't care what they may say,
Jesus is just alright, oh yeah

The slide guitarist explained how they were talking one day and thought to themselves whats the point in being an athiest. Whats the point in thinking you'll die and thats it! Not what you would think it would be about from the title.
its just saying that he thinks jesus is real and doesnt care what anyone else says
The Byrds did this song too. I like Doobie's version better. Back in the seventies I went to a Doobie concert and surprisingly this song was the crowd favorite.
Pretty simple lyrics and message - ta to Kriller.
Great music and vocal. Their best song for me.
Whee! My first post on the site is the first on a popular classic rock song! Dance in queer little circles! But tht's not all...I can't believe I'm the first post on this song. One of the few DB tracks not to start out with a signature chunked riff (maybe a bit of a stretch.) Also one of the best to show off their funk side with a Pink Floyd-ish bridge, save the voice. The overall sound doesn't resemble it, but it just reminds me of an up-tempo Gilmour. Someone else please give Jesus a little loving...
Maybe that's why they included the lyric "I don't care what they may say" who knows...
That is the basic idea of what I said too!
There is a great rendition of this song on an episode of the 2000 television series "Freaks and Geeks". Great song that will always lift my spirits when I hear it.

Cover of an old funk/gospel hit from I think the 40s. Great song!!
This song is about Jesus. He's alright.
I'm really not surprised that this song was the crowd favorite. I always believed it was the most well-known song by this group.
It's a fun melody, but the lyrics are pretty cheesy. A bit over-rated.
