This is a great song. To me it is talking about how when it seems like your life isn’t so great it is sometimes the exact opposite. How often do we find ourselves think about times in the past that might not have seemed too great at the time but later on you realize that those were the best of times. The best times of his life in the song are when he’s with his love and he knows to relish every moment with her.
This is a really good song. It reminds me that the world is changing and maybe it's not for the best but with someone that you love everything can be alright...

One of the coolest concert memories, circa 1980 (ish) seeing Styx in concert in Rapid City, SD (no really). There is a guy sweeping the stage ... The curtain goes up and there is Dennis DeYoung playing this song on a white concert grand piano - waaay cool!

This song fits today more then ever the worst of times is covid right now and the love we had for someone in the past will alwyas be on our minds even though we are not able to be witht hem due to this virus. I have a love who lives in another country thatt I have not be able to be with for 2 years but we still rememebr the good times we had before covid and hope that there are better times ahead
