Distant Skies Lyrics
Went into the plane
Was scared like hell
Tried to relax for a while
But when we took off
I feared we would fall
Waving goodbye to this life
I'm flying through winds tonight
No sign of the dawn or light
Silhouettes in the sky
Wings are carrying me through the night
Silhouettes in the sky
Destination unknown
Distant skies
Then after awhile
I tried to sleep
But watched two movies instead
The fear struck again
How I hate this plane
I hope this would come to an end
I'm flying through winds tonight
No sign of the dawn or light
Silhouettes in the sky
Wings are carrying me through the night
Silhouettes in the sky
Destination unknown
Distant skies
Was scared like hell
Tried to relax for a while
But when we took off
I feared we would fall
Waving goodbye to this life
No sign of the dawn or light
Wings are carrying me through the night
Silhouettes in the sky
Destination unknown
Distant skies
I tried to sleep
But watched two movies instead
The fear struck again
How I hate this plane
I hope this would come to an end
No sign of the dawn or light
Wings are carrying me through the night
Silhouettes in the sky
Destination unknown
Distant skies

This is a song about aviophobia (the fear of flying) which Timo Tolkki suffered from sometime in his past.
I haven't figured out how it relates to the lyrics of the song yet, but at the gig at Wacken some days ago (which f'n kicked ass! :D ), Timo said that this song is about lying.
I'm well aware that Jutah's intepretation makes much more sense, though. oO
