Fix what’s wrong, but don’t rewrite what the artist wrote. Stick to the official released version — album booklet, label site, verified lyric video, etc. If you’re guessing, pause and double-check.
Respect the structure
Songs have rhythm. Pages do too. Leave line breaks where they belong. Don’t smash things together or add extra empty space just for looks.
Punctuation counts (but vibe-editing doesn’t)
Correct typos? Yes. Re-punctuating a whole verse because it ‘looks better’? Probably not. Keep capitalization and punctuation close to the official source.
Don’t mix versions
If you’re editing the explicit version, keep it explicit. If it’s the clean version, keep it clean. No mashups.
Let the lyrics be lyrics
This isn’t the place for interpretations, memories, stories, or trivia — that’s what comments are for. Keep metadata, translations, and bracketed stage directions out unless they’re officially part of the song.
Edit lightly
If two lines are wrong… fix the two lines. No need to bulldoze the whole page. Think ‘surgical,’ not ‘remix.’
When in doubt, ask the crowd
Not sure what they’re singing in that fuzzy bridge? Drop a question in the comments and let the music nerds swarm. Someone always knows.
This song was written for one of my mom's classmates when Styx played at their Homecoming Dance. That was between 1971-1975. Dennis DeYoung had a crush on her the first time he saw her that night and wrote the song for her.

Dear fellow music lover.
Dennis DeYoung had a girlfriend in my childhood Parish. I am pretty sure that it was written for her. Do you remember or can you find out the woman for whom the song was written ? If it is a match, I’ll take you out for a meal in Chicago.

Although there are multiple versions of this song, every one that I have contains "show" and not "give". However, it is possible that there is a live version of this song where it said "give".
[Verse 1]
Lady, when you're with me I'm smiling
Give me all your love
Your hands build me up when I'm sinking
Touch me and my troubles all fade
Lady, from the moment I saw you
Standing all alone
You gave all the love that I needed
So shy, like a child who had grown
[Chorus]
You're my lady of the morning
Love shines in your eyes
Sparkling, clear, and lovely
You're my lady
[Verse 2]
Lady, turn me on when I'm lonely
Show me all your charms
Evenings when you lay down beside me
Take me gently into your arms
You're my...
[Chorus]
Lady of the morning
Love shines in your eyes
Sparkling, clear, and lovely
You're my lady
Lady of the morning
Love shines in your eyes
Sparkling, clear, and lovely
You're my
Lady

Hilarious episode of Freaks and Geeks where Nick sings this to Lindsay....
Perhaps people are confusing two parts of the song. It says "Give me all of your love", and "Show me all of your charm."
Beautiful.
A rather "macho" love song, which really kicks in gear at about 1:10 into it
Very masculine and strong
I think this just says "You mine and I love you"
It's about a guy in love with a girl who returned the same feelings for him!

"Give me all your charm " Is suppose to be Show instead of give.. Kudos anyways!
