I think this song is about life and all the feelings that come with it. Its about losing people, loving people, and how no words need to be said.. just to let it be silent. Its kinda like we forget whats real and just look at whats coming to us instead of the big picture. Its also mainly about feeling down and having anger to loved ones that have betrayed you. This is such a moving amazing song, and i can never get enough of it.

I love this song...to me it is about how we get so caught up in the rush of the day and in our lives with work and everything that we miss how beautiful a morning can be. Or how beautiful anything can be when we aren't so caught up in the stresses of life.
Basically, you have to stop once in a while and smell the roses.
I think the silence is those moments when there is no pain, when there is no other voice telling you what to think or do or be. He says, "when will we heal?" The silence is the peace that we strive for when we are healing from the shit life heaps on us and what we heap on ourselves.
i'll always like this song...this song gives hope for some of us who feels really desperate out of all pain they have and almost forgot that there is a life in all of us.

this song is about a morning when JR woke up and found that a guy had gotten drunk and mowed down a couple teenagers in his neighborhood. This is a place he grew up in and felt very devastated for the loss. It also hit him when he realized he and his friends would hang out in those same streets when they were younger.
