Country music is indeed the story of my life too. Some of my friends still do not see that, but oh well >.>

I love this song because I won't settle for anything other then country music and that's what this song is asking for. He's saying, "Don't blast that annoyin' rock and whatever else you might desire, cause all I wanna hear is sum' good ole country music!"

country music is the story of my life.

Yeah lately I've been feeling this way, I pretty much just want to listen to country nowadays. Country isn't really the story of my life, but I find it is a very simple style of music, it makes me dream about living a much simpler life. While I ignored the style, I'm discovering that it's part of me. It reminds me of my childhood as my mother played it a lot back then, especially this song. I also learned that my late grandfather loved this style, so I feel that listening to the new generation of it brings me closer to him.

It's about a person who thinks that country music is the only music that can heal a broken heart. He fails to realize that sometimes people can be angry and bitter when their hearts are broken, so they need to listen to rock and roll to heal their broken hearts. He obviously isn't one of those people who gets bitter and angry when his heart is broken.
