Jumbo Lyrics

I need sugar
I need a little water sugar
I get thoughts about you
And the night wants me like a little lost child

Locked in a safe place
Looking out the window
The dark move fast past the window
The dark on the other side of the locked door

Click
Click

Her thumb's on a Tetris keyring
Move in, brilliant timing
You pick up the phone
And I'm imagining

Click
Click

Tiny wires in her ears
Slide into the city
Tiny wires in her ears
Slide into the city

(Steel under the
Power above her
Steel under the
Power above her)

Click
Click

Rising in the morning I spoke to you
Beneath the feet in the city
Click, you disconnect from me
Click when you gonna take your century

Telephone breath between us
There are no borders between us
Only these wires
The dust between the wires
And the green grass
And in the distance
I am your tourist.

Absolutley adore this song, To me its about a couple whose miles apart and the thoughts and the scenery around each of them before they get together.

One correction to add though I think:

Click when you gonna take your century

Should be

Click when you gonna take your sanctuary

However I have been wrong before ;-)

Great track if you are going to meet your lover in another city... somewhere :-)

'Sanctuary' would make more sense, but these are Underworld lyrics we're talking about, ha (see also: Cowgirl. ICE CREAM!!!).

According to Deep Blue Morocco (the lyrics site) it is 'century'.

sire of black eyess, interesting you say it reminds you of two fisherman, as the spoken intro is apparently a recording of a Cajun fisherman that Underworld met on their travels.

Not sure about the meaning. But you know that situation, when certain feelings are dominating your mind, and you briefly allow yourself to envision the whole world through that lens, it's almost surreal, and you're there but only observing. That's how it makes me feel. Dave Seaman's remix on one of the Global Underground series enhances this too, I think.

I believe the word 'surreal' as kaat said, is the word that suits this song the best
