I realle feel connectet in some way to this song. The first time I heard id I cried. It is so beautifull and still to day I get tears in my eyes. The words; burn the bridge behind you leave no retreat there's only one way home I can se that what I myself have experince in my life. I will stand and fight for what I feel is right and know this heart of steel will never break.
This song is for ambition and dedication. Once you set a far away goal it makes sense, otherwise it is not as powerful (Build a fire a thousand miles away to light my long way home). After you build this far away fire (your goal) you have to acknowledge your loneliness, because if you expect others to understand you you have failed, you don't want to fight, you just want to please others. Then you take risks, and always more tries (ambition). Other people with no goals feel threatened by your dedication, and they "laugh, and crowd the path", but...

This song might be cheesy, but...it's helped me a bit, it put it in my mind that i've GOT to get myself a heart of steel (a.k.a i gotta still care but make myself immune to all pain) and it worked xD

I love manowar, they always make me laugh god damn there lyrics are funny, and don't forget the leather shudders lmfao. anyway, this song is about standing up for what you believe in, especially against someone else whose beliefs are wrong (in manowars eyes anyway) standing up to people who 'cut each others throats' meaning people who talk down to others or betray each other. 'burn the bridge behind you' you will go all the way for what you believe in. not exactly sure whay he rides a comet though...odd man that joey...odd

follow your heart. don't be a nihilist. don't give in to the crowds. fight for something deep in your heart. a great metal song that is fierce, true and compassionate all at once.
This song pretty much sums up Metal: A Headbangers Journey (which was fucking awesome, Global Metal out soon!!).
