Thor (The Powerhead) Lyrics
Black clouds on the horizon
Great thunder and burning rain
His chariot pounding,
I heard the heavens scream his name
I watched as he shouted
To the giants that died that day
He hehd up his hammer high
And called to Odin for a sign
Thor the mighty, Thor the brave
Crush the infidels in your way
By your hammer let none be saved
Live to die on that final day
Gods, Monsters and Men
We'll die together in the end
God of thunder, god of rain
Earth shaker who feels no pain
The powerhead of the Universe
Now send your never ending curse
Swing your hammer to crack the sky
Lift your cape so that you might fly
Back to Odin and the Gods on High
And leave this mortal world
Great thunder and burning rain
His chariot pounding,
I heard the heavens scream his name
To the giants that died that day
He hehd up his hammer high
And called to Odin for a sign
Crush the infidels in your way
By your hammer let none be saved
Live to die on that final day
Gods, Monsters and Men
We'll die together in the end
Earth shaker who feels no pain
The powerhead of the Universe
Now send your never ending curse
Lift your cape so that you might fly
Back to Odin and the Gods on High
And leave this mortal world

Sorry, to add I wanted to mention how this song creates such a vivid image in my mind. Some songs have the power to do that and this is one, I just get so caught up in it. I picture in my head Thor in the midst of battle waving his giant hammer and sending lighting bolts down at his enemies. I love songs that have this kind of power.
Has been some years, but, I have only stumbbled across this site. Thank God, for I now have foind another person who can understand me. MUZZY. I say that about most Manowar songs. I close my eyes, and see a low mist hover over a dewy hill. then, the pounding of hooves as mighty black stead (probably Black Death) appears. On his back, something out of Conan, weilding a mighty battle axe..... Not many bands, if any (Maiden do have a few songs off Powerslave that have a similar effect) have that power. DEATH TO FALSE METAL

I think this one is about Thor... :P
In ancient Norse mythology, Thor, the god of thunder and the son of Odin, is the most powerful of all the gods. Wielding a hammer that fires lighting bolts, he battles giants and serpents, where Thor rides his chariot the earth shakes and is torn asunder. For countless eons he fights to protect the world from harm, knowing that one day he will die in battle at the end of the world(also known as Ragnarok,) yet even knowing this he continues to battle with all his might.
Awesome song, powerful as hell. Probably my favorite Manowar song, Eric Adams vocals on this give me chills.
Yeah, you're right Muzzy, it really rocks!.
