The Great Escape Lyrics
Time is now
Stop asking how
And living in past moments
A great escape
Missed opportunity
To break new ground
RISE...
To your feet
So you've made it out okay
Picture perfect scenes
With bitter endings
'Cause while you sleep
And think "it's safe to be me"
There is danger
You can't stop me from crumbling
Underneath the weight
You can't stop me from crumbling
Pressure that I can't take
You can't and won't stop me
Stop asking how
And living in past moments
Missed opportunity
To break new ground
To your feet
Picture perfect scenes
With bitter endings
And think "it's safe to be me"
There is danger
Underneath the weight
You can't stop me from crumbling
Pressure that I can't take

I am actually really confused about the meaning of this song. At times, it seems like this song is about being strong and not letting someone keep you down, but then it changes tones.
When he sings "You can't stop me from crumbling, underneath the weight," I am confused. In one sense, he is strong because you can't stop him, but then again, he is crumbling underneath the weight, so where is his strength?
I might be completely missing something, so don't take my word for it.
