Awake Soon Lyrics
Awake soon
The mindstorm
I feel, I feel
The stars out
The fear goes
I soar now
As far as I can carry you
As deep, as deep
No theif can take away from you
The way you have taken from me
His mouth full
of loose teeth
I see, I see
The liar is weeping
And down on his knees
The light no longer terrifies
The grief gone to sleep
So beauty came with agony
But sweet, oh every love is sweet
The mindstorm
I feel, I feel
The stars out
The fear goes
I soar now
As far as I can carry you
As deep, as deep
No theif can take away from you
The way you have taken from me
of loose teeth
I see, I see
The liar is weeping
And down on his knees
The light no longer terrifies
The grief gone to sleep
So beauty came with agony
But sweet, oh every love is sweet

I believe Sarah wrote this song about the betrayal she had felt via a relationship with someone. It seems so easy to believe someone when you are in love, so easy to get lost. She reflects on how while she was naive she was happy.
"So beauty came with agony." This line kind of confuses me. Perhaps another reference to anorexia, and reflecting on the toll it had on her relationship?
Oh my god. What an fantastically beautiful piece of music. It's something I would play in a church or something. Just the way it sounds. It's really amazing. And the lyrics are so tragic and so triumphant at once. I love them.
