A Winter's Rose Lyrics
why is it that some are always learning, but never come to the knowledge of the truth? and their ever open minds refuse to hear a reasonable offer...humbly i extend the hope i have received. careful not to pass judgement or impose my beliefs...but i can no longer apologize for what i hold most dear. and with humility i attempt to live my life with a sincerity that can bridge gaps...and know that by abstaining from things of this world, i am not condemning you, but i'm choosing as you choose, to follow what i know to be true

This song is a song that is trying to state the blantant ignorance people have when it comes to other people's ideas. The ignorant take in all this knowledge about what THEY think is true and THEIR idead, while never actually taking the time to learn about the other side's opnions, never realizing that there may be truth to what the other person has to say. He can no longer keeo silent what he thinks and feels and will try as hard as he can to understand other people's views, while still holding fast to his own. He chooses to do what he does because he finds truth in his cause. . .he's not asking to change any's views, but simply asking that others understand why he has chosen his.
keys scar her digits
Hah, I wish I could type right. Haha. Anyway, this song is a very good one. I'm glad my friend Jake directed me toward this band.
I think stars scar her eyes is right. but he is talking about peoples unwillingness to hear about God which is what he believes (and I :) ) and trying to tell someone without forcing it down their throat but they are too ignorant to accept what he is saying and no longer caring what people think of his beliefs deciding to live a life by what he knows to be true... GOD!
how does "a winter's rose" fit in anywheres to this song as the title...?
well i agree with most things said, i highly doubt this song is about religion or God, but of course, this coming from an Atheist. and i was wondering that too, how DOES "a winters rose" fit into this song? no clue, still a great song
maybe because a rose doesnt bloom or open in the winter, like the people hes singing about dont want to open their minds.
hopesfallfan i believe is correct... while i do believe this song does have a religious undertone.. as an atheist I can turn what he's saying and put it to heart... it's the same emotion felt by all.. regardless of what religion you are, or aren't...
"I'm choosing as you choose... to follow what I know to be true"
I really don't see any religious references to this song, it just looks like he's saying he won't accept ignorance in his own life and he's going to do what he believes to be true. Truth isn't always religion.
winter = everybody and their ignorance. rose = him.
i guess...
