This is a great song in many ways. The lyrics are great, about being so far away from someone you love. Sad but great. And how its still super sweet, because even though he (probabluy chris) is hurting, he still wishes the girl a great time.
I agree... the lyrics are awsome... like he misses his love soooooo much and it hurts him yet he still wishes she has a great time... now thats love..
I think hes being sarcastic about wanting her to have a good time. It seems really bitter to me.

How do you get sarcasm from that? He really seems to genuinely miss her but want her to enjoy herself.
There's bitterness in that, without a doubt.... but I don't derive any sarcasm from it either. When you love someone you HONESTLY do want them to be happy, at any cost.

Yeah, I don't think any of us will be able to tell if it's bitter or sweet. But that's ok... we all know that the song is about him missing his chick and how it hurts to not be able to see her.

This song is about not getting laid because your girlfriend has been on vacation in Costa Rica for 2 weeks. "You never told me it would be this hard I think my body's saying so." and "I'll be fine by myself I'll be fine without these bones" - these lines say it all.
