The Whistler Lyrics
Beloved mother
There is no guilt
In what I have done
It's far too late
To turn it back
To turn it back
Slowly they move
One by one
Food for the clan
Your kingdom will come
Slowly they're marching
One by one
Follow my magic tune
It is so easy
Her eyes
Her pale cold eyes
Are watching over me
I've never felt alone
All the children
For her glory
A fair price and
The deal was fixed
I did my part
And they betrayed
I cleared their problem well
But I trusted lies
chorus:
All your children went astray
Pay the price for ignorance
Praise and glory to the clan
Watch your step I'll bring the end
Rats repeat their feast
Queen will be quite pleased
All your children went astray
Pay the price for ignorance
Praise the glorious race of rats
One by one they'll join their dance
Hungry souls they shall be fed
Praise the wisdom of the rats
All the children went astray
Pay the price for ignorance
Now you know fear
Face the unknown
Dwell in tears
The story's told
You may have learned
Dare not to betray
The whistler
You should consider
You might fail
You should consider
You might fail
All your children went astray
Pay the price for ignorance
Praise the glorious race of rats
One by one they’ll
Join their dance
All your children went astray
Pay the price for ignorance
All your children went astray
Pay the price for ignorance
Food for the clan
Praise to the rats

With all this stuff about the "mother" and the "queen" and her pale cold eyes it almost seems to suggest a civilization of rats that appearantly sees itself as much superior to the humans.
The song seems to be a praise to the rat queen, a warning to the humans, and an almost apocalyptic prophecy (your kingdom will come) about rats conquering the world at the same time.
Could remind anyone who knows warhammer of the skaven, very much so, actually.
It's a shame that dumbasses think if it's on MTV, it must be good... Guess what, this blows away all the whiner emo punk bands, all the fake pop bullshit, all of the dumb negro bitchs complaining about being a piece of meat or the incredibly overplayed Nickelback.
Alright...I do believe this song has somethin' to do with the Pied Piper, no?
A truely evil interpretation of the Pied Piper of Hamelin. He drives the rats out of Hamelin, drowns them and so on... The townspeople refuse to pay him, so he takes their children. The real story just says they were never seen again, but the song suggests what might have happend...
He fed them to rats. Muhahaha, I love this.

The historical pied piper abducted children, molested them, and then hung their body parts in trees. Maybe feeding them to rats isn't too bad after all . . .
I originally interpeted this as a song about humanity. Calling them rats and such. And the part:
"All your children went astray Pay the price for ignorance Praise the glorious race of rats One by one they’ll Join their dance
All your children went astray Pay the price for ignorance All your children went astray Pay the price for ignorance Food for the clan Praise to the rats"
Seemed to me like mocking God.
i agree with the first comment
this song kicks ass
Yeah, something like "Pied Piper" meets "Saw" HAHAHAHAHAH Anyway, just like you said. A sadistic, cruel and really fucking great interpretation of the Pied Piper.
Rats eating children... I think Schaeffer came up with this. Does not look much like Hansi
I think the negro bitches should accept that they will always be pieces of meat and should stop howling about it. It's more like if it's not on MTV it's crap. Which is depressing for me because all the music I have ever owned has been crap. I like crap music. Crap music is much better than good music and this song is SO crap. I love the child death and ratfest dancing and stuff. This is clearly about the pied piper. I think he's well good. Much love there then. The cúnts said they'd pay him to get rid of the rats but instead they poked him in the eye so he went off to nick their kids and feed them to the rats. I like rats. I hate kids. Go rats. D&W are by far the most talented band around right now. Unfortunately I don't think they tour because Iced earth and Blind Guardian anre all busy making beauty elsewhere. If anyone knows of any gigs Blind Guardian or D&W are doing, PLEASE let me know: Dark_Out@hotmail.com ta.
