I first heard this song a couple months back when I discovered Elvis Costello. I have been unable to get it out of my head since (Literally, I dream this song) can anyone suggest additional Elvis Costello songs that have a similar musical style. Also other bands with similar styles.
I seem to recall EC calling this an "ABBA imitation." I certainly hear it in the piano parts. Costello is so eclectic musically; this is pretty much sui generis among his recordings, though, to my ear, any track where Steve Nieve plays a lot of percussive piano comes within hailing distance.
