Stepson Lyrics

I'm free
He can't touch me
Six feet down
And there's no sadness

Hands and heads full
Old and hostile
Fists are pounding
Nothing's simple
No respect or meaning
Why the screaming
When he's gone
Burn the house down
Too proud to come to me
When you are dying
Well look at the dash
Now you're frying

Hands and heads full
Old and hostile
Fists are pounding
Nothing's simple
No respect or meaning
Why the screaming
When he's gone
Burn the house down (x3)

When he's gone
Burn the house down
When he's gone

Hands and heads full
Old and hostile
Fists are pounding
Nothing's simple
No respect or meaning
Oh Why the screaming
Never whimper
Hide your feelings
And when he's gone
Burn the house down (repeated til end)

I think the abusive step father has died "I'm free, He can't touch me, Six feet down, And there's no sadness" and the stepsons burning the house down to destroy the bad memories that exist in the house.

This song is definately one of the most powerfull songs ive ever heard. after listening to this song about a million times i think what its all about is, a boy and his family. His stepdad beats them and abuses them. So oneday when the stepdad leaves the house, he burns it down, killing his family and setting them free of the burdens left by the stepfather. unless it ia all metaphors i think that is what this song is about.
