Curbside Lyrics
I would come out just see you
Dancing freely by the sunset
Like the sun you'd shine brightly
We'd spend hours by the curbside
Telling stories under streetlights
How your words would amaze me
Now those days are gone
Slowly they'd slipped away
I still go out by the old house
Where I met you our first summer
Where are you now, you're with another
I am sitting by the curbside
Where we'd hang out under streetlights
How those times still are with me
Now those days are gone
Slowly they slip away
Dancing freely by the sunset
Like the sun you'd shine brightly
Telling stories under streetlights
How your words would amaze me
Slowly they'd slipped away
Where I met you our first summer
Where are you now, you're with another
Where we'd hang out under streetlights
How those times still are with me
Slowly they slip away

This song is my favorite Damien song. It is such a beautiful picture of what love and friendship is all about, spending time together and thinking someone else is awesome no matter how things turn out. This whole album, Rehearsals For Departure has a lot about being at peace with the state of life and i love that.
I am also in love with the idea of the old houses and places Damien sings of. I love imagining his world in Seattle.
i asked him if he would play this song at a show in atlanta and he said he can't get through a performance of it because it is too personal.
Ya, great song! Very powerfull. I wonder if any of these songs are really true or relate to him?
I saw hime play this song in Seattle, Summer 2005. I was overjoyed.
Wow I'v over a year late, but he really said it's too personal huh? Man that makes the song even more sad.
