Revolutionary Kind Lyrics
Keep on kicking shit, keep running off the rails
Keep on picking the dirt from 'neath your fingernails
'Cause I'm not worried about your state of mind
'Cause you're not the revolutionary kind
Keep on in the jungle with your techno-cality
Keep on lapping up your chemical duty-free
'Cause I'm not worried about your state of mind
'Cause you're not the revolutionary kind
Keep on twisting turning, staring down the sun
Keep on dancing dancing, dance with everyone
You're not the revolutionary kind
You're not the revolutionary kind
You're not the revolutionary kind
You're not the revolutionary kind
Keep on picking the dirt from 'neath your fingernails
'Cause I'm not worried about your state of mind
'Cause you're not the revolutionary kind
Keep on lapping up your chemical duty-free
'Cause I'm not worried about your state of mind
'Cause you're not the revolutionary kind
Keep on dancing dancing, dance with everyone
You're not the revolutionary kind
You're not the revolutionary kind
You're not the revolutionary kind
You're not the revolutionary kind

this song make me want to jump up into the air and shout really loudly.
there's just something about it. i think it's a very personal thing, but this song is one of my favourite songs ever.
Maybe this song is about someone the narrator knows who is full of energy and jumpy, like a cat on a hot tin roof, but the narrator knows that at heart that person is too locked into their mindset and not able to make the radical mental leap needed to fulfill their desires.
it's about the singers housemates who used to argue about their different music tastes
I always thought this song was about his lack of appreciation for shit dance music (jungle and techno etc) and the sort of wreck-heads who go to places like Ibiza to get off it ("Lapping up the chemical duty-free") and listen to rubbish music; the type who is hardly likely to bring about a revolution
I always thought it was about being unconcerned about a friend that gets high all the time because they're harmless and not likely to try to start a revolution (or a fight, or anyhing particularly dangerous).
They're saying, just keep on going out and having a good time and getting high.
I think that they're also calling this person a bit of a sheep... just go out to dance parties like everyone else and take the same drugs as everyone else and it doesn't really matter, because you're not hurting anyone, and neighter is anyone else... the only ones you have to worry about (their state of mind) are those who could potentionally cause problems.
That's assuming that they're not looking for revolution though... it might be completely tounge in cheek...
