I Believe Lyrics

I believe that when the hurting and the pain has gone
We will be strong, Oh yes we will be strong
And I believe that if I'm crying while I write these words
Is it absurb ? Or am I being real
I believe that if you knew just what these tears were for
They would just pour like every drop of rain
That's why I believe it is too late for anyone to believe

I believe that if you thought for a moment, took your time
You would not resign yourself to your fate
And I believe that if it's written in the stars, that's fine
I can't deny that I'm a Virgo too
I believe that if your bristling while you hear this song
I could be wrong or have I hit a nerve ?
That's why I believe it is too late for anyone to believe

I believe that maybe somewhere in the darkness
In the nighttime, In the storm
In the casino
Casino spanish eyes
I believe, no I can't believe that every time you hear a new born scream
You just can't see the shaping of a life
The shaping of a life

This song is about denial. If you read the lyrics slowly line by line, you will find that its author cannot conclude one way or the other his own mind.

And I believe that if I'm crying while I write these words Is it absurb ? Or am I being real

Is a prime clue here. Crying is real but the reasoning behind the tears, he quite cannot grasp. His mind is disturbed at the time and his reasoning is shot, so an endless cycle begins.

So to conclude, it is a question of whether or not you "believe" as the author doesn't quite know if you do understand his point, or if he has one at all. The eternal question mark, and damn clever.

I adore this song, specially the last few lines. to me it says that some people don't realise the responsibility they have to give a new born baby the life it deserves, which leads to neglect and even abuse.

I think it's about people who go through their lives thinkin that their path is somewhat pre-ordained. That their destiny is to suffer,or not change their mundane lives in any way. It's also a message that you don't have to continue your life the way it is-you can change it.

Being one of the biggest TFF-fans in our country, I often look differently to their lyrics. I think that in this case he is afraid for answers or the consequences of these answers.

That why he believes. He beliefs that everything will work out eventually.

TFF's first viewpoint can be found in 'Ideas as opiates'

It is about astrology. Most people don't belive in it. It is too late to believe in our society... all music is about it. When a newborn screams, it is the shaping of a life. It is written in the stars. And if you thought for a moment you would not resigne to you fate.

As I wait to be strong, for the hurting to cease. As I try to understand the tears as I write these words. Wondering if this all was already written in the stars. Should I just resign myself to my fate.

Remembering back ...in the darkness, ...in the nighttime, ...in the storm of passions exchanged, I took a chance on your promises of love.

And when our newborn screamed, did you see the shaping of her life?

Did you see the shaping of mine, the destiny you laid before me?

Have I hit a nerve, Grace? Do you know what it is you have done?

Or is it all just too late?

Is it just too late?

"I believe that if you're bristling while you hear this song I could be wrong Or have I hit a nerve?"- many of us cling to our beliefs very tightly. Politics, religion, health, life, song meanings. We believe but are our beliefs true? Hence the bristling. I strongly recommend reading Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. There is a part there where he talks about conviction. Great paradigm.
