Long Distance Lyrics

long distance last goodbye
can\'t give it one last try
its all over we didn\'t even cry
all i know is this world came between us
and the love got left behind
no news flash funeral half mast flag
on the day that our love died
and i\'d tell you face to face
but i can\'t look you in the eye
i just called to say goodbye
did you burn my pictures yet?
anything to try and forget
its all i can do just to stay on the line...
we both know how hard it is for both of us to try
and we both know how hard it is in richmond in july
so what am i supposed to say?
hows the weather anyway?
this time i called to say goodbye
who\'d thought it\'d end up like this?
without even a goodbye kiss
no one can say we didn\'t try

I like the line "How's the weather anyway?" He basically realizes there is nothing left for them to say except "How's the weather?"

This song is self explanitory i feel.. Its about a long distance relationship, and how everything came between them... the scene changed, everything change and so did they. They grew apart with nothing left to to talk about like oasis1027 said. And its kinda saying how maybe they arent really sad about it because they knew it was for the better "we didnt even cry" but still are hurt by it.

This is one of my favorite ab songs, ironically it was written by bill stevenson (i think) of all/descendents! Obviously it's about a failed long distance relationship!
