Step on Chameleon Lyrics

You wanna fist, you wanna ride,
go to school so you can hide,
step on the bus be rewarded,
get off last & yer retarded,
last off, last in line,
chameleon doin' fine,
second hand will tick,
pancake batter gettin' thick,
cut my finger on a butter knife,
watch the blood flow down just like
the blood i see on yer hands.

Bloody foot print swollen tongue,
scaly skidmark better run,
bitter swallow get you numb.
What is gold? Silverbullets.

This song is a masterpiece. From what I know they've never performed it live. Maybe it's just too good, eh. I agree, I think it's about school shootings too, or at least about being bullied into revenge. Great band, Froberg is sorely missed.

I think it's obvious that this song is about school-related angst and low self-esteem. While it's a topic beaten to death in half assed songs by shitty bands, this particular song is an exception. Everything about it, lyrically and technically, is unique and inventive.

Am I alone in thinking that "What is Gold?/silver bullets" is a reference to school shootings?
