I must be one of the only people who is completely amazed by this song. I listen to it all the time. to me it means this guy who is just fucking sick of his gf's attitude. he is telling her she's unbelievable in a BAD way.
I really like this song. Fits me like a glove. My gf just started getting so, well, unbelievable. the line "You say to me i dont talk enough, but when i do im a fool" Thats her right there. Always complaining im quiet, but every word i Do say, she acts as if its the most stupid thing she has ever heard.
I think that in the last stanza - "Seemingly lastless, don't mean / You can ask us" and so on -, he creates a little bit of intentional purple prose himself. Just for color. I think he goes as far as to "quote" things she may have said in the middle of the lyrics, like "think of the fine times" and "You've always go to stop", using them for showing us how pathetic she sounds.

Great song, just heard it again on the radio. Yeah it's about a guy who's fed up with his girls bad attitude and just wants out. Don't we all know people like this? Any ideas what EMF stands for? I have a few ideas but no-one has confirmed for me.
