Supernaut Lyrics

Practically every one of the top 40 records being played on
every radio station in the United States is a communication to the
children to take a trip, to cop out, to groove. The psychedelic
jackets on the record albums have their own hidden symbols and
messages as well as all the lyrics to all of the top rock songs
and they all sing the same refrain: It's fun to take a trip, put acid in your veins.
I wanna reach out and touch the sky
I wanna touch the sun but I don't wanna fly
I'm gonna climb up ev'ry mountain on the moon,
And find the dish that ran away with the spoon

Supernaut
Supernaut

I've crossed the oceans, turned every bend
I found the plastic at the golden rainbow's end
I've been through magic and through life's reality
I've lived a thousand years, they never bothered me

Bothered me
Supernaut
Bothered me
Supernaut

And they all sing the same refrain:
It's fun to take a trip, put acid in your veins.

25 seconds
20 seconds and counting
T minus 15 seconds, guidence is internal
12, 11, 10, 9
ignition sequence starts
6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

Got no religion; don't need no friends
Got all I want and I got no need to pretend
Don't try to reach me 'cos I'll tear up your mind
I've seen the future and I've left it behind

This is actually a 1000 Homo DJ's song. 1000 Homo DJ's is a Ministry side project. The vocals are Trent Reznor, but the music is Ministry (Al Jorgenson, Paul Barker). The vocals were distorted to sound like Al's voice because Wax Trax! wouldn't let Trent and Ministry collaborate. So they had to lie to the lable and say it was Al singing and not Trent.

actually, it was trent and 1000 homo djs doing a cover of black sabbath's "supernaut" for a sabbath tribute album. can't remember the album... but yep. it's originally a sabbath song. i prefer this version though.

There are two versions of this cover song available. One with distorted vocals and one with normal vocals. If you can find it, the one with normal vocals is absolutely incredible.

Back in the day, Trent used to be a part of Ministry, but they got in a big argument, and Trent left.

Uh, Trent Reznor was never in ministry. And they never really argued either. Trent Reznor said that Al Jourgensen was his idol at one time. He may or may not have been in this song, but it is not fully sure that he was... If he was, that would be so awesome, seeing as that would mean that three of my favorite music people woould have made a compilation: Jello Biafra, Trent Reznor, and Al Jourgensen.
