Good Times Bad Times Lyrics
In the days of my youth
I was told what it means to be a man
Now I've reached that age
I've tried to do all those things the best I can
No matter how I try
I find my way to the same old jam
Good times, bad times
You know I've had my share
When my woman left home
For a brown-eyed man
Well, I still don't seem to care
Sixteen I fell in love
With a girl as sweet as could be
It only took a couple of days
Till she was rid of me
She swore that she would be all mine
And love me till the end
But when I whispered in her ear
I lost another friend, oh
Good times, bad times
You know I've had my share
When my woman left home
For a brown-eyed man
Well, I still don't seem to care
Good times, bad times
You know I've had my share
When my woman left home
For a brown-eyed man
Well, I still don't seem to care
I know what it means to be alone
I sure do wish I was at home
I don't care what the neighbors say
I'm gonna love you each and every day
You can feel the beat within my heart
Realize, sweet babe, we ain't ever gonna part
I was told what it means to be a man
Now I've reached that age
I've tried to do all those things the best I can
No matter how I try
I find my way to the same old jam
You know I've had my share
When my woman left home
For a brown-eyed man
Well, I still don't seem to care
With a girl as sweet as could be
It only took a couple of days
Till she was rid of me
She swore that she would be all mine
And love me till the end
But when I whispered in her ear
I lost another friend, oh
You know I've had my share
When my woman left home
For a brown-eyed man
Well, I still don't seem to care
You know I've had my share
When my woman left home
For a brown-eyed man
Well, I still don't seem to care
I sure do wish I was at home
I don't care what the neighbors say
I'm gonna love you each and every day
You can feel the beat within my heart
Realize, sweet babe, we ain't ever gonna part

this song is pretty straight forward as how the chorus tells it all. Its easy to relate to because we have all had good times and bad times. this is a great song, and page has an awsome guitar solo.
Man, imagine listening to this song in 1969, just imagine. Like your sitting there with your radio, and listening to a little Bob Dylan, and the Beatles. And this song comes on! The solo just hits you like bullet! This song, and band was ahead of its time. Because the solo in this, was the roots of most heavy metal solos.
One of the first Zeppelin songs I listened to.....great song
It's amazing that the first song on the first Zeppelin album is the same style they adapted throughout the seventies. An incredibly raunchy guitar riff, fast bass solos and Bonzo's rapid right foot the shows the bass drum no mercy. I think Zeppelin wanted their 1st song to be competely out of this world and they wanted to display all of their individual talents on their respected instruments.
Oh don't you just cum when that guitar solo just explodes out of nowhere?
well, i wouldnt say that, but its one of his best guitar solos in my opinion.
This song is so awesome..it takes me back to being in school and first period on the morning announcements they would show kids from school surfing and play this song, it always got my mornings off to a good start! Go Fletcher Senators!
The verse that starts of w/ "16" is so about sex and the whisper in her ear was and invitaion for sex and she left b/c she was pissed thats my take on it neway
How come so few people talk about their early stuff i.e. this, communication breakdown...these songs are amazing. Theyre rockin'. The guitar solos are AMAZING.
rambler has the right...um, a right idea... the guitar intro gives a sense of impending occurence...shit yeah...
