418 Lyrics
Unwritten Law - 418
the lights in the skys
sleepin in time
a fictional reality
so prime
since i was a child
and looked to in the sky
i've looked above the earth
for all answered why?
which that were to be
made me black on and die
Dear Father, I'm your Ronin Son
I'm Stuck here in Delirium
I suppose that this is us
somewhere down the line
a version of ourselves
somehow redefined
a question, evolution
it takes development of the soul
and the subtlety revealed
revealed so cold
Dear Father, I'm the chosen One
Dear Father, I have come undone
Father Father, Come play on me
Father Father, I am on my knees
Father Father, Please Set me Free
Father Father! (x2)
sleepin in time
a fictional reality
so prime
since i was a child
and looked to in the sky
i've looked above the earth
for all answered why?
which that were to be
made me black on and die
I'm Stuck here in Delirium
somewhere down the line
a version of ourselves
somehow redefined
a question, evolution
it takes development of the soul
and the subtlety revealed
revealed so cold
Dear Father, I have come undone
Father Father, I am on my knees
Father Father, Please Set me Free

Rite now, I'm not gonna add the meaning, Just a note of parts im very sure i screwed up on.
"which that were to be made me black on and die" Wrong...
"Father Father, Come play on me" Iffy...
i think this is my favorite song off of this album. this or "before i go". either way. i'm not sure what it means, it's just a really good song.
this song is really good and unwritten law is a kick ass band, and im still trying to find the meaning of this song...
i love this song so much. this is the song mike and brandon from incubus gues on and cowrote. brandon is doing the speaking part, and playing digeridoo too. i couldnt find the lyrics anywhere...this is the reason i love this site...yeah some of it here is a bit iffy, isnt it "dear father, im the chosen one"? oh well its the other parts i wanted to see anyway
where it says 'father father come play on me' i coulda sworn it's 'father father come rain on me' but oh well
this song is in my opinion, one of ul's deepest and most spiritual. here are some reasons why i dig it so much
the heartbeat and aleister crowley/thelema reference in the beginning of the song (do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law)
the random sounds you hear in the background (phone ring, etc...)
the change in beat towards the 2:48 mark in 418 as a standalone track
the lyrics. ul is again referencing looking towards the sky to find answers (see 'tell me why'). the lyrics in this song are left to interpretation in parts, and for that i love it. each person can take away their own meaning
the incredible feel and texture this song gives off while listening to it under the influence. seriously, next time you're high put this on.
that is all, now read the book of the law http://members.cox.net/thelema/
extraterrestrials come to mind
i think he is asking God for help
