She's a girl who used to live in her own world since she couldn't get in touch with real life because of its roughness. Then one day she knew a generous guy who was prepared to bring her back to real life and she wouldn't need anymore to dream about her chances of being in love and engaged. Besides, she got pregnant from him, even so she still tended to steal away to her imagination for not facing this new reality around her.
The little change in the chorus in the end of this lyrics, where Andy sings "no more lies", serves for calling her definitely to the material world... And she will leave to be that 'phantom bride' at last...

I get the feeling this song is a bit autobiographical. The life of a gay man with dreams of a grandiose romance that could only truly happen in the most wonderful dreams.
