Analysis Of The Evidence Lyrics

Can't you see this one'll never grow?
Take your time then you'll see (that) it don't flow
Slit your eyes, (your) sister let her hips go
I tried to hold but my fingers let go
And it goes on
It goes on
Do you think you'll ever leave this town?
Walking home (your) shoes'll wear your skin down
Close your eyes, imagine that your hairs brown
Take a bath if you think you might drown

Red lines of light - collide in the night
Cutting across - can you feel the heat of the engine?

Hairs as pink as the colour on a T-shirt
Play it safe and you won't get hurt
Paint your eyes, make a fuss, be a flirt
(The)Bus is coming, run and get a split skirt
And it goes on
It goes on
Do you think you'll ever leave this town?
Walking home (your) shoes'll wear your skin down
Close your eyes, imagine that your hairs brown
Take a bath if you think you might drown

Red lines of light - collide in the night
Cutting across - can you feel the heat of the engine?

Maybe we're assuming it wrong.

Cover art for Analysis Of The Evidence lyrics by Rydell

This is my favorite from Hard On The Trail. I can only guess the song is comparing a car crash to a relationship. (Red lines of light, like you get on a motorway/highway at night... colliding & cutting across etc.) Not sure how the rest of it fits in with that though.
