i can't believe no one has commented on this yet. it's a great song. i hated billy joe until i heard this project. there is just something very soothing about this song to me. always good to listen to when you are depressed.
Really? I find this song terrible to listen to when I'm depressed because it makes me more depressed. Anyways, I think this song is about being in love with someone, but having to be away from them for a long time.
Yeah, I think this is definitely about touring or something like that, where you have to be away for long time. This is their best song, I've heard. And I don't think this song is depressing at all. I think it's sweet. I really love BJ's voice... it's so familiar and comforting.
