I think it describes how you feel after someone you've known for a very long time and were very close to, like a best friend, that you thought would be one of the few people to stick by you for the long haul, leaves your life. You feel lost, alone, like you don't really know anyone anymore and that you have nobody to depend on or confide in anymore. It's a horrible feeling...but a beautiful song, anyway. :p

If this song doesn't get to you, you have no emotions.

Quite possibly one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. Hauntingly painful.

i can totally relate to this song. i have a friend who has a hard tme putting his trust in me. i love him more than i can say, yet he still just can't believe. :'(

'I love you more than I can say, Why won't you just believe?' That line is so sad. This whole song is so sad.

It kind of seems to me as a long friendship that's ending/ended Because of a mistake where he broke their trust and he didn't mean for it to happen. This person means more to him than anyone else, But he's out of ways to show that to them. And no matter how many times he tries to explain it, They won't believe him Or listen to what he has to say.

Song is so emotional. I love it. I love all of Wish.

This song is sad and desperate but still has a little hope. Sometimes it's hard to trust somebody because you know what has already done to you, and it's feels like you're just waiting for a new disapponitment to come. But it can also happen to meet people that don't trust anybody; it's like there's something in their past that compromise the possibility that you could be someone to trust, someone different, and there's nothing you can do to get that possibility, to prove them than they're wrong, that they are already old if they don't give people any possibility. I adore the intro of the song.

This song is about basically giving up on the hope that this person will ever accept or realize that this person really does love them. Despite, things that might have happened between them, overall their heart was always in the right place and that it's all they ever wanted was to love and be with them. They realize that the other person has been burned so many times by other relationships but they really are different and don't want to hurt them. This person has exhausted all of their resources and doesn't know what else to do to prove their love to them.

This is a great song by a great band. I listened to it a lot when I went through a depressing time of my life last year.

Incredible song, very beautiful and very sad....love the piano on it....my second favourite song on the "Wish album"....after "Friday I'm In Love"
