Sidewalk Lyrics
honest to god, i think this song is about walking on a sidewalk.
I think they're encouraging people to think for themselves, instead of listening to what society tells them. "The tubes tag along" could mean that TV is always at your side, ready to spew conventional standards that society believes you should conform to. "The radar's got it wrong" says that the information we heedlessly accept as true isn't neccessarily right. What good has come from believing everything they say?
As for the sidewalk part, I'm as clueless as an anorexic sumo wrestler.
I just think this song is about questioning your choices and how things are working out for you, as opposed to how they're working out for other people. I think this song is about doing anything to please other people and always putting yourself last.
this song reminds me of Salt Lake City. I remember listening to it when going there once. anyways, i love it.
lol... yeah maybe. my friend hates them because he thinks they always sing about nothing.. but i think this song could easily have another meaning... like moving on to another part of your life.. etc
this song gets me excited. i love it.
i think this song might be about homelessness? Trying to get along in society and failing or just giving up
If this song is about thinking for yourself, the title "Sidewalk" makes me think of walking across my college campus and seeing all the people walking on the sidewalk all in a line. I on the other hand am walking across the grass, taking the shorter, less crowded, or just plain different route.
It seems to be about getting off the uncertain path and jumping on a solid foundation. The path you're on isn't working. What you're seeing ahead, what you're seeing around you, is fantasy. Find the sidewalk, find something you can actually walk on. It's not going to be there forever, so get on it while you can.
