I guess the song is about someone who is dead but is happy about since it "a perfect morning...floating in a golden haze" and his spirit is floating up to heaven and on his way there he checks in one last time with the person he loved as a child...? Really bizarre song but the melody is catchy as hell.
i agree with Nailerk, but i dont think it was someone whom they had loved as a child, i think they just feel like a child, since they are now dead and forever free. And on their way up to heaven they want to take one last look at their love almost to reassure them that they are ok...if that makes sense...well its a beautiful song...absolutely gorgeous...love the box set...
