Sometimes there's nothing to feel
Sometimes there's nothing to hold
Sometimes there's no time to run away
Sometimes you just feel so old
The times it hurts when you cry
The times it hurts just to breathe
And then it seems like there's no-one left
And all you want is to sleep
Fight fight fight
Just push it away
Fight fight fight
Just push it until it breaks
Fight fight fight
Don't cry at the pain
Fight fight fight
Or watch yourself burn again
Fight fight fight
Don't howl like a dog
Fight fight
Just fill up the sky
Fight fight fight
Fight til you drop
Fight fight fight
And never never
Never stop
Fight fight fight
Fight fight fight
So when the hurting starts
And when the nightmares begin
Remember
You can fill up the sky
You don't have to give in
You don't have to give in
Never give in
Never give in
Never give in
Sometimes there's nothing to hold
Sometimes there's no time to run away
Sometimes you just feel so old
The times it hurts when you cry
The times it hurts just to breathe
And then it seems like there's no-one left
And all you want is to sleep
Just push it away
Fight fight fight
Just push it until it breaks
Fight fight fight
Don't cry at the pain
Fight fight fight
Or watch yourself burn again
Fight fight fight
Don't howl like a dog
Fight fight
Just fill up the sky
Fight fight fight
Fight til you drop
Fight fight fight
And never never
Never stop
Fight fight fight
And when the nightmares begin
Remember
You can fill up the sky
You don't have to give in
You don't have to give in
Never give in
Never give in

This song was composed for the film Rocky but unfortunately it has not been taken because the producer thought it was too depressing and prefered the song composed by Survivor, The eyes of the tiger. This fact is not well known because Robert Smith was kind of ashamed that the song was not selected and then he also realised that the film was not good enough to be related to the Cure. So they did everything to pass this under silent. Anyway, Smith judged that the song was really good and deserved to be placed somwhere, at the end of the album Kiss me, kiss me, kiss me, at the very last moment. This story is true, Smith told me this himself !
When I feel depressed this is the song I play. Pretty straightforward(so I hope that is the only reason people aren't posting about this song) but absolutely inspirational and a spirit lifter. Never give in. Never give in. Never give in.
This song has such good lyrics. Robert Smith is amazing.
amazing
Robert Smith is really the best poet i've known.
This song is amazing. This song is the perfect song to make me remember what I am fighting for. Although lyrically straight forward, its very accurate. I know exactly what it feels like to feel so small. Music, songs like 'fight' make you really feel as though you can fill up the sky and fight anyone or anything that stands in your way.
One of my favorite songs.
amazing song.... the lyrics pretty much explain everything.
Kinda just saying don't let yourself take the pain, fight back.
Wow, what an amazing song and amazing lyrics! Genius!
"Don't cry at the pain" sounds more like "Don't hide your pain".
