When you screw up your eyes
When you screw up your face
When you throw out your arms
And keep changing your shape
Taste the taste in your mouth
Taste the taste on your tongue
On the film on your eyes of what I've become
What do I do when you screw up your eyes?
What do I do when you screw up your face?
What do I do
When you throw out your arms
Fall on the floor
And keep changing your shape?
Jump right into your mouth?
Jump around on your tongue?
And the film on your eyes of the way I've become
Makes me sick at the way that I try
Anything in the world
To impress that I'm doing this
Only for you
When you screw up your face
When you throw out your arms
And keep changing your shape
Taste the taste in your mouth
Taste the taste on your tongue
On the film on your eyes of what I've become
What do I do when you screw up your face?
What do I do
When you throw out your arms
Fall on the floor
And keep changing your shape?
Jump right into your mouth?
Jump around on your tongue?
Makes me sick at the way that I try
Anything in the world
To impress that I'm doing this
Only for you

This Old House and Bob Villas were the inspiration for this song. It's really about carpentry -- screwing this and screwing that. Drywall, lightbulbs, you name it.
this is probably one of the few songs from the cure that i really dislike. It's completely meaningless in such a beautiful album as the head on the door.
Drugs.
Simon and Robert have both said this is one of their favorite songs to perform, and it is just musically great. Sweetx3 basically hit the nail on the head; it's about loving someone with drug issues.
I'm a bassist. I think this bassline is terrible. It sounds like some kid playing some goofy metal riff that everyone heckels on youtube. The only real bad song on this album, but nothing's perfect.
Do you have to be a bassist to be able to recognize a bad bassline?
if you like this song raise your hand.
looks around
raises hand
hand goes up
At this rate there will be quite a few of us by the next century
btw, sounds like someone having a seizure
raises hand
The bassline..................
ITS VERY TYPICAL OF PEOPLE THAT THEY DONT HAVE ANY REMARKS ON THIS SONG I THINK ITS VERY VERY GROOVY AND I WOULD GUESS ONE OF SIMONS FAVORITES. IF I WERE A BASSIST I WOULD PLAY THIS ALL THE TIME. AND ITS A SCARY FUNNY TUNE AS WELL LYRICALLY.
