I think this song is actually pretty simple. its profound and can apply to people in many different ways but i think the basic message is pretty simple: if you are uhappy with your life, simply ruin it. Tahts a dangerous concept for many people but......as he says if you really want to be happy...."its up to you".
Whenever I hear this song, I immediately think of someone on the verge of suicide. "There's nothing else to do, start a new, ruin your life" - Perhaps they feel this is the only path to lead to happiness. It's incredibly depressing. o_o;
