Fopp (Ohio Players cover) Lyrics
I had to fopp outside and then I went indoors
Fopped so hard I made the people warm
They stood back and gave me all the floor
they wouldn't let me stop
Yeah I was foppin' and rockin'
Had the house hoppin'
Foppin', everywhere you go, do all your
Shoppin', wiggle to the floor, everybody was Foppin'
Foppin' is the brand new thing to do
Fopped so hard that I lost my shoe
I fopped so tough they had to make some room
Do your thing, don't you give no slack
Shake your hips and then you turn around
Well first you fopp it up
And then you fopp it down
We'll be here foppin' all night long
I'm too short, baby, and you're too tall
But when we're foppin' that don't mean a thing at all
Foppin', everywhere you go, do all your
Shoppin', wiggle to the floor,, everybody was Foppin'

Damn does this song rock! Gotta hand it to the Ohio Players for and awesome tune, and to Soundgarden for taking it to another level. I gotta ask like I've asked before, though....is that really Chris singing the whole thing? How can he switch from the heavy grungy voice to the falsetto metal voice so quickly???

There isn't a whole lot to analyze here, but the double vocal is awesome and the lyrics are....strange. I think he's dancing and just completely rocking out.....

it isn't falsetto... it's Mr Cornell's Amazing Screeching Wail

I think it's : I fopped so tough they had to make some (rule).
It makes more sense than 'room' to me, like he really was fopping tough.

not much to analyse here just some good fun

best vocalist

I hope no one thinks this is about sex. Cause if so, they're stupid. It's about fashion and dancing. Just look at the lyrics, the go on wikipedia and research a "Fopp". Not the usual from SG, but it rocks ass.

The reason it's Room and not Rule, although rule is still pretty good, is because he's dancing like a bad ass and the other people stand back so he can use the rest of the dance floor.
