Object Lyrics

You know you turn me on
Eyes so wide and legs so long
But don't try to talk to me
I won't listen to your lies
You're just an object in my eyes

Sophisticated smile
You seduce in such fine style
But don't try to fool me
Because I can see through your disguise
You're just an object in my eyes

But I don't mind
I just don't care
I've got no objection
To you touching me...

Object object object object...

You know just what to do
Lick your lips
And I want you
But don't try to hold me
Because I don't want any ties
You're just an object in my eyes

But I don't mind
I just don't care
I've got no objections
To you touching me...

You're just an object
Object object object
You're just an object

I love the pace of this song. According to Smith:

"A fake horror, a black joke, Robert's attempt to appear 'unwholesome'. A pastiche of a sexist song" "A decisive sneer hiding a sour desire."

I think, maybe, he meant it to be sarcastic and mocking.

Simple. He only wants sex and pleasure from this girl. But he doesnt want a real relationship. pretty much a "friends with benefits" sort of thing. She's just his sex object

You got it. It kind of reminds me of Nookie by Limp Bizkit.

Killer bass line.

" ABJECT " Object ... Why the fuck didn't Bob think about it ?

This girl is his sex toy, his bonus ... She knows it and doesn't give half of a rat's ass about it . What makes her coming is knowing the fact that she has this sexual power over him. No love here, just sex.

But to me these lyrics don't sound right. Well tried, Smith, but that's not you, sorry ...

You're so lucky guys to be born in English-speaking countries and be able to get the lyrics just hearing them online ...

OK, fair enough, i can do the same when i listen to French songs. But Sacha Distel's or France Gall's lyrics are boring as hell. So it's difficult, difficult ... Lemon difficult for me, but i don't mind, i'm a rebel warrior. A stubborn one.

I also think it has slight inference to some women wanting to be seen as objects. Shown by the lines "You know you turn me on Eye's so wide and legs so long" Showing that the woman knows what she is and has no OBJECTion to it.
