This is either Devo just being goofy and singing about a guy who's just so genius his brain is exploding!

It also seems as if it could reference someone getting high or tripping for the first time, if you've ever had that experience, you might know what I mean. I'm sure that is very slim to what they meant, but it still works in that respect.

Parts of this song really remind me of anxiety, or even a panic attack. Perhaps something set off by a bad trip. Either way, I relate these lyrics to the general feeling of anxiety, and the juxtaposition of lyrics with the music really hammer this feeling home.
