it's definitely just about the value of love, no sex or prostitutes involved. the song is saying "if you want material stuff that's fine, but that's not what i want to give you. i don't care about materials because that's not what love is about." i hadn't heard this song in a while, but i heard this newer version that paul mccartney worked on with this jazz singer named michael buble. i love it, but with the jazz feel, it doesn't a great deal like the original except the general tempo. it's a great listen.

This song is basically saying that love makes you happier than any amount of money. Even a rich person can find it hard to find love and no amount of their money could buy true love.

Money can't buy luv....everybody should know that. I think it is pretty obvious!

I don't think he's talking about being a whore at all, more innocent than that. He's just saying that he doesn't value riches, he'd take love any day.
