Do you always have to tell him everything on your mind?
You know that too much honesty can be so unkind
And every time you throw him to the floor
Why are you surprised to see he's breakable?
You always try to find what's holding him away from you
But do you ever see your anger standing there right between you?
And every time you throw him to the wall
Why are you surprised to see he's breakable?
Tell the world that he's breaking your heart
Go tell the world nothing's ever your fault
Go tell them all
And every time you throw him to the floor
Why are you surprised to see he's breakable?
And every time you push him to the wall
Why are you surprised to see he's breakable?
You know that too much honesty can be so unkind
Why are you surprised to see he's breakable?
But do you ever see your anger standing there right between you?
Why are you surprised to see he's breakable?
Go tell the world nothing's ever your fault
Go tell them all
Why are you surprised to see he's breakable?
And every time you push him to the wall
Why are you surprised to see he's breakable?

What a beautiful song. I really enjoy it. I wish I had something more to say, but I don't. I think the meaning is pretty clear.
I love this song. It's so great. Fisher's a great artist. I want her cd True North.
I really don't think I need to point out the meaning. It's clearly about how someone's being taken advantage of and is always uncertain of if she wants revenge. Like, She didn't think that the person who inflicts her pain can actually feel pain.
this person, whom ever she is, is with a man, and she continually hurts him. and i don't think she understands why she does, and she seems suprised that everytime she does something it hurts him and yet he still comes back. i think the male is more emotionally involved then she is. and then for some reason she wants to cry out and say that he's hurting her. this to me says that in the past she's been burned so much that in this relationship, she doesn't know any other way to treat someone.
i can relate to this song so much since i AM like that. i don't really know why i'm even like that. one idea though, is that it might be because of my commitment issues...since i'm afraid of feeling pain, i'd rather do the "hurting" all the time. trying to push people i value away from me. so psychotic.
